Description
The over 5,000 m² large former industrial Hall, part of the tramway main workshop of the MVG, is home to the new MVG Museum, which documents the history of over 130 of the Munich public transport.
An exceptional, new event - and Ausstellungslocation was created at the same time in the very high-quality converted grade II listed building.
In 1918, was the complex as war metal plant in the southeast of Munich and was used as a main workshop of the Munich public transportation since the 1920s. The steel and metal construction of the Hall with two vertical columns / rows of columns that give the room a clear symmetry. The elaborate Windows and skylights add exceptional lighting accents.
