Ruins of chert

The ruins of chert are in the set, about 4 km north of Sigmaringen. in 1247 the castle of Hornstein, ancestral seat of the noble family, is first mentioned. The Castle underwent several construction phases until it was rebuilt around 1700 into a stately baroque palace. In 1818 she was a Hohenzollerische "Breeding and reformatory". in 1873 sold the plant to abort.

Get was the Palace Chapel in the original Wessobrunner stucco, a Baroque jewel, in which the Christian annual cycle is maintained.

Today, the romantically located ruins of chert with its old walls, towers and angles forms the backdrop for the cultural activities of the Association. Therefore, maintaining and preserving this heritage listed investment are guaranteed.
The lovingly designed event space for up to 70 persons and should be once a cooler day, our wood-fired oven spread a comforting warmth.
The restored stone wall is integrated into the room and will be illuminated by indirect lighting. This creates a very special atmosphere.
For larger events, it is also possible to set up a tent in the courtyard of the ruins, which borders directly on the open meeting space.
